When the Sun Comes Out, the Weeds Will Pop!

Yikes, I'm sick of complaining about the weather, but I think it's nicer in the Pacific Northwest this spring! As I write this, the sun is competing with the clouds for space. The clouds are still winning. I'm glad we had rain instead of snow. I don't have to shovel rain.

We're all eager to clean up and prep our gardens! Now we'll have to contend with weeds. Stay on top of them so they don't take over as the days get longer and warmer. The rain will probably produce a beautiful bulb display, though!

And I don't think I need to mention the reduced chance of wildfires!

Order Your Summer Share and Seeds Soon!

Kevin with Black Zucchini and Costata Romanesco Zucchini harvested from plants he bought from me. I like to mix 'n' match when I deliver!
The deadline for Spring Shares has passed and most of the plants are already seeded. Extra plants will make their way to the 9th Annual Plant Sale. More on that in a minute.

The deadline for ordering Summer Shares is April 15 - tomatoes, hot and sweet peppers, eggplant, summer and winter squash, lettuce, cabbage, flowers, and the beloved basil. Reserve yours now!

CSA Shares are ready at the right time for planting. Plants are hardened off and ready to go in the ground.

You can get a bundle of Renee's Garden seed packets for spring and summer planting, and also Renee's Garden Scatter Cans in several varieties.

If you need raised beds or outdoor furniture, we've got that, too!

Gift Certificates are welcome any time of year.

A Monthly Guide to Growing a Sensational Garden in Northern New Mexico and the Rocky Mountains

9th Annual Spring Plant Sale and Book Signing!

nannie plants' 9th Annual Spring Plant Sale will be Saturday, April 29 at Earthgoods, 11-2. There will be herb, flower, and vegetable starts, seeds, house plants, trees, and shrubs.

I'll be there with The Book, too! Rain, snow, or shine!

This is always a great party, a place to connect with growers and gardeners. It used to just be me selling plants. Then it was me, Kristen, and a woman from Alamosa. Now it's become a small farmers market!

Find more details and photos on the Facebook Event Page.

The Book!

A Monthly Guide to Growing a Sensational Garden in Northern New Mexico and the Rocky Mountains has been published!

You can find it locally at Earthgoods, Moxie, Gutiz, Petree's Taos and Los Alamos, and the Dixon Market. If you're in Denver, find it at City Floral Greenhouse. Please support these businesses in gratitude. I'm looking into more locations, so stay tuned for that.

If you don’t live in Taos and would like a signed copy, order here. I will ship it to you. Media Mail is $5. Priority Mail runs $10-12 depending on location. Let me know your preference.
ORDER HERE FOR SIGNED COPIES TO BE SHIPPED!

You can also order The Book directly from the publisher:

ORDER FROM THE PUBLISHER HERE!

The best way to support me is to buy from me, locally, or from the publisher. My cut is greatly reduced when you buy from third-party websites or stores I don't deal with directly. Thank you for your business and unending support! (If I could put an emoji in here, it would be a big happy heart!)

Seed Swaps!

We've got two seed swaps behind us already, and much garden season in front of us. Here are some pics from the one last weekend.

May Plant Sale

The tentative date for a May Plant Sale and Pick-up is Saturday, May 27. It will be at my house. Stay tuned!
